The PlayStation 2 Slim uses a standard two-prong figure-eight (C7) power cord. One end plugs into the back of the console, and the other plugs into a power adapter (external power brick) that then connects to a wall outlet. This is different from the original PlayStation 2, which used a direct AC power cord.
