To unlock a locked touchpad, try pressing the "Fn" key together with the function key (such as F6, F7, or F9) that has a touchpad icon on it. Alternatively, check your laptop settings or Control Panel to enable the touchpad if it was disabled through software. If these steps don't work, restarting your laptop may also help.
