mSATA drives have lower storage capacities compared to newer SSD form factors and are becoming less common, making them harder to find and potentially more expensive. They also generally offer slower speeds than modern M.2 NVMe SSDs. Additionally, mSATA is not compatible with M.2 slots, limiting upgrade options.
