NVMe is a protocol used for accessing data, while PCIe is the physical interface that connects the SSD to the motherboard. NVMe SSDs use the PCIe interface to deliver much faster speeds than older SATA SSDs. Therefore, an NVMe SSD (using PCIe) is generally better and faster than a non-NVMe PCIe SSD or SATA SSD.
