To reset your Dell battery sensor, turn off your laptop and disconnect the power adapter. Remove the battery (if it's removable), press and hold the power button for 30 seconds, then reinsert the battery and reconnect the power. If your battery is non-removable, perform a full shutdown and hold the power button for 30 seconds before restarting.
