MagSafe and MagSafe 2 power adapters are both designed by Apple to charge MacBook laptops, but they have different connector designs. The original MagSafe connector is slightly thicker and has a T-shaped or L-shaped design, while MagSafe 2 is thinner and wider with a more streamlined T-shaped connector to accommodate thinner MacBook models.
